Q. Either my phone doesn't support video or my network blocks video... Can I still use the service?

For users with phones and/or networks that do not support video, we created our IMAGE SERIES with content that comes directly from the ExerciseTV Mobile Trainer videos. You get the same great workouts designed by the fitness experts at ExerciseTV. All 'Fitness Personality' and 'Quick Start' workouts are available in IMAGE SERIES format.

Does the service work on Blackberries?

Yes. For optimal performance, it is recommended Blackberry users use the Image Series. Most Blackberries do not support streaming video. While Blackberry's progressive download option is supported by our system, clips can take 1 minute or more (depending on network speed) before beginning to play on Blackberries.

Q. Does the service work on iPhones?

A. Yes, of course!

First generation iPhone (non-3G) users: For optimal performance, it is recommended first generation iPhone users use a WiFi connection (if available) to access video content. If only an EDGE connection is available, using the Image Series is recommended instead. First generation iPhones do not support streaming video. While the progressive download option is supported, clips can take 1 minute or more (depending on network speed) before beginning to play.

Second generation iPhone 3G users: Streaming video is compatible with iPhone 3G

FITNESS BASICS

Q. Can I get hurt doing the exercises in these programs?

A. There is a risk of injury with any exercise program. Warming up, stretching, and following safety tips will help to reduce your chances of injury, however you should always consult a physician before beginning any exercise regimen. Before using any equipment for the first time, you should get proper instruction. And if you ever feel faint, dizzy, or have trouble catching your breath, stop immediately and consult your doctor. ExerciseTV Mobile Trainer programs are for reference only. ExerciseTV Mobile Trainer programs are not a substitute for a personal trainer, a weight spotter or workout partner.

Q. Do I need to do a warm up before getting started?

A. You should always do some sort of warm-up activity before you start lifting weights. This will increase the blood flow throughout your body and loosen your muscles up for the training program you are about to start. You can warm-up outdoors biking or jogging or try a 5-minute warm-up on cardio machines.

Q. What if I can't do some of the exercises?

A. If you are unfamiliar with any of the equipment at your gym, you should ask the gym-staff to show you how to use it properly before using it. If you are unable to perform any of the exercises comfortably, skip them.

Q. What if my gym doesn't have the equipment shown in the demonstrations?

A. You should ask a gym staff member to show you the most appropriate substitute for that exercise. In most cases, you can achieve similar results with minor modifications.

Q. What if I can't do the number of sets and or reps suggested for my workout?

A. Weight selection instructions are outlined at the beginning of most programs. If you find you cannot complete all sets of a prescribed exercise, you should reduce your weight.

Q. What if I don't feel challenged by the number of sets and / or reps suggested for my workout?

A. Try increasing your weight slightly to the point where you do feel challenged, but can still complete all prescribed sets. You will notice that you are able to increase your weights regularly if you exercise on a regular basis.

Q. Do I need to rest between sets?

A. Generally, you should rest 30-45 seconds between each set to allow your muscles to rest before beginning your next set. Take a bit more time if you need it, but make sure you don't let yourself cool off.

 

HOW TO USE EXERCISETV MOBILE TRAINER

Q. What do I do with my phone when I'm performing the workouts?

A. ExerciseTV Mobile Trainer programs are not designed to be watched while you are actually performing the exercises. Instead, you should watch the examples before you begin each set. Watch them a few times if you need to and focus on how you are going to replicate the movements you see. When you're ready to perform the exercise, set the device aside or put it back in a case worn on your waist or arm. Try reviewing the examples between sets to make sure you are performing the exercises with correct form… you'll find subtle changes can make an enormous difference. Q. What if I don't want to wear headphones for the device while I'm working out?

Q. What happens when I cancel my subscription?

A. Service is billed at USD$9.95/month. Upon cancellation, your service will continue through to the end of your current billing period and you will not be billed again.

Q. Do I still get the promotional savings if I don't complete the term of the promotional savings plan?

A. No. To qualify for discounts associated with any promotional offers, you must complete the full term of the savings plan. If you cancel prior to completion, your subscription cost will be calculated based on our standard $9.95/month rate. If a refund is due, it will be automatically re-credited to your credit card and a confirmation email will be sent to the email address associated with your account. Please allow 14 days for processing.
